Ways to work together
Individual therapy, group therapy, and Ecotherapy, available in the office, outdoors, or online.
However we work, it's built around you. Your story, your goals, and a pace that feels right.
Individual Therapy
One-on-one, experiential therapy for older teens, adults, and elders moving through anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, or a sense of disconnection from yourself or the world. We can meet in the office, outdoors on the trail, or virtually. Time outside is always an option, but never a requirement.
50 minute session: $200
80 minute session: $300
Session times are intentionally structured with some flexibility. While sessions are scheduled for 50 or 80 minutes, I may occasionally allow a few additional minutes when it feels important to complete what we're working with that day.
Group Therapy
Seasonal groups offer a place to build resilience, deepen connection, and practice alongside others who understand. Offerings may include the Alive Outside Ecotherapy group, Climate Cafés, and other gatherings for people navigating the emotional realities of a changing world.
Check back soon for upcoming groups, or join the newsletter for the latest updates.
Ecotherapy
Healing, rooted in the natural world
Nature is one of the ways I work, never the only one. When it feels right for you, ecotherapy invites the natural world into the healing process, helping you relate more authentically to yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.
Nature can support:
Nervous system regulation
Deeper emotional processing
A greater sense of connection and belonging
In our work together, that might look like:
Walk-and-talk sessions outdoors
Mindfulness and grounding in natural settings
Bringing nature into indoor or virtual sessions through metaphor, imagery, or parts work
Simple practices that carry into the space between sessions
How payment works
I do not accept insurance. I use a self-pay model, and am considered an out-of-network provider. This enables me to make decisions based on what you need, not what an insurance company decides you need or are allowed to have. Please feel free to ask me about this decision.
If you'd like to pursue out-of-network reimbursement, I'm glad to provide the documentation, including a monthly superbill, your insurance may need. If you would like to explore this option, please let me know at the start of our work together.
You may also be able to use HSA or FSA funds to pay for therapy. Because plans vary, check with your account administrator to confirm eligibility.

Climate Psychology for Organizations
I help community groups, environmental and outdoor organizations, academic institutions, teams, and workplaces engage with the human side of a changing world.
Depending on your goals, our work might take the form of a workshop or training, a facilitated conversation, an invited talk, a consulting engagement, or a nature-based experience. Some offerings are established, while others are designed around your organization's context and needs.
Topics may include climate emotions, climate-related stress and burnout, communication, collective care, and sustainable engagement.

What happens in a first session?
1
Mostly, it's a chance to meet and get oriented together. You can share as much or as little as you'd like about what brought you here, and we'll talk through what you're hoping to get from our work. Nothing needs to come out all at once — we'll go at whatever speed feels manageable for you.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
2
The right therapist makes a real difference. A free 30-minute consultation gives us a chance to connect, hear what you're looking for, and sense whether working together feels right — before you commit to anything.
Do I have to do sessions outdoors?
3
Not at all. Outdoor and walk-and-talk sessions are an option I love to offer, but time in nature is never required. We can meet entirely indoors or virtually and still weave in nature-based practices through imagery, mindfulness, and metaphor.
Can I use insurance?
4
I'm an out-of-network, self-pay provider, so I don't bill insurance directly. Many clients seek out-of-network reimbursement, and I can provide a monthly superbill with the details your plan may need. I'm happy to point you toward what to ask your provider.
I'm carrying a lot of worry about the planet. Can you help with that?
5
Yes. Climate grief, eco-anxiety, and a deep sense of loss about the natural world are real and valid. You might feel sadness, fear, anger, guilt, or numbness. As a climate-aware therapist, I don't treat these as problems to be solved away. Instead, we'll give them room, look at how you're carrying them, and tend to the grounding and resilience that help you keep going.
What's your cancellation policy?
6
I understand that plans sometimes need to change. Your session time is reserved just for you, so please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice and missed sessions are charged the full session fee.
